Very much in the same way as an electric diffuser - by heating a small amount of water (80ml) with fragrance oil. We made Abel to be an analogue solution, that was both beautiful and functional. The flask of water and fragrance oil sits above a tealight, to gentle diffuse and scent your home.

Nope! The glass is borosilicate glass and can withstand over 300℃. We've designed the Abel Burner to have enough space between the candle and glass that it doesn't scorch or discolour at all. Please ensure you follow the safety instructions included and setup your burner correctly.

Yes! All burners (even seconds) come complete with Flask, 10ml oil and 2 of our vegan, cruelty free soy wax tealights.

Sadly not. The oils are chosen at random, based on the stock levels at the time of packing your order.

We're a super small business. We use Royal Mail Tracked 48 for all our parcels. Our processing time (to make and pack) takes 1 - 2 business days, your parcel will then arrive 48 hours after that.

Sadly not. After Brexit the cost of operating business to customer has become prohibitive for a tiny business like ours. If you know someone in the UK, we can ship there for them to forward on to you.

We're a tiny Cornish business and work sporadic hours. We have staff in our Unit Monday and Wednesday. We aim to reply to customer service emails then.

Yes! We're a husband and wife lead business in rural Cornwall (not far from Truro). We strive to source everything from within the UK, to support the British economy. Everything we do is handmade, hand poured and hand labelled. We believe in hard work and being making something we can be proud of.

The best way to get your Abel Burner diffusing quickly is to use luke-warm water and 5 - 10 drops of your favourite oil. Swirl the water and light your tealight. It may take 15 - 20 minutes to start seeing/smelling the Burner diffusing. IF your room is cold this can take longer. If the water is cold it can take longer. You can also try using more oil; 15 - 20 drops if you prefer it stronger.

Yes! All Abel oils are 'safe synthetics' the same as perfume or aftershave. These are much more stable and less volatile than Essential Oils. We have purposefully chosen Fragrance Oils because they are cruelty free, vegan, pet friendly and much safer for both animals and humans.

At the moment, we aren't offering a Click & Collect service. We do have a number of stockists around the country who carry Abel products.
